Big Ridge Soaps is a soapery located in southern Indiana in a small town called Shoals. Our goal is to provide products with as few chemicals and as natural as possible.
Our products are paraben free, phthalate free, sustainable, and always cruelty free. We created a soap using the best quality ingredients possible, and our recipe was passed down from my Native American Grandmother and with modern science, improved upon that recipe. Meaning we researched all the oils available, discovered each oils benefit, and carefully selected those oils that fit our end goal. Our end goal was a cleansing bar that was hard enough to last several weeks, gentle and moisturizing, with no harsh chemicals or known carcinogens.
We created Big Ridge Soaps in 2019, just before the pandemic hit and that presented its own challenges, but we weathered the storm. With rising costs of premium oils and ingredients, we are faced with even more challenges, but we have remained resilient and still offer a premium product without the cost. Thank you to those who have stayed with us as we navigated this transition from a hobby soapery to a real business. We still don't have a place to call our own but offer all soaping services, including free local delivery with orders over $30. Our shipping costs are capped at $10 per order and have some exceptions to this rule.
